
In addition to Dunn and Associates, Alan Dunn presides over College Development LLC, a company devoted to developing residential properties. Within the past few years, College has performed the largest residential development project in Squirrel Hill in many years along Anita Avenue and Fernwald Road. By purchasing the land, developing a subdivision, and contracting Dunn and Associates to design six independent dwelling units, College has not only elevated the quality of housing stock in Pittsburgh, but has also added needed tax revenue. The homes, all of a contemporary design, incorporate many of the latest advancements in "green" and sustainable technology.
Mr. Dunn anticipates ground-breaking of the final phase of the development project, namely two townhomes, spring 2011. Mr. Dunn has prior success in development having performed extensive renovations of six properties in the Shadyside neighborhood. By personally understanding the delicate nature of the development industry, Mr. Dunn is well equipped to work with fellow developers in similar capacities. The most notable example of this is the 100-unit (400 bedroom) Townhome Development Project that Dunn and Associates served as design consultant near Slippery Rock University.
